On December 4th from 6pm to 10pm EST, our datacenter provider for our Washington, DC datacenter will be performing an inspection of power generation and backup systems such as batteries, generators, power conditioners, etc. This is simply an inspection to verify that all equipment is functioning as expected; no downtime or power failures are expected, but we did want to alert our customers to the very small possibility that power service for some servers could be temporarily interrupted if major faults were found and corrective actions were taken. Thank you.
We will be performing a blade move for host6 to address the recent problems we have seen on this server. The maintenance window is from 10pm until 2am EST Wednesday night.
Plesk server ps04 is being rebooted at this time as it has become unresponsive. It should be back up quite shortly.
Update: All services are now up and running on ps04 as of 11:35 EST.
Our provider has informed us that they will be performing network updates on the equipment which services the following servers:
host19
host28
host33
host34
starting on Friday, November 21st at 10:00pm EST. The updates should be completed by approximately 1am on the 22nd; during this period, customers hosted on these servers may experience periods where the network, website, or mail access is inaccessible. Thank you for your patience during this scheduled maintenance event.
Due to errors with a disk array which have necessitated multiple reboots of a few servers in the past few days, our engineers are currently performing a replacement and rebuild of one of our server disk arrays. Once this work is complete, we expect no further issues with these servers. Thank you for your patience while we perform this repair.
This is currently affecting server: host2
Update: This was completed 12:30am EST
At this time, host2 is being rebooted; this system will be back online shortly, once required filesystem checks are completed. Thank you for your patience during this unplanned event.
Update: As of 2:15pm EST, this server is back online and no further issues are expected. Thank you.
At this time, our engineers are rebooting host19 and host5 due to issues with the SAN storage device shared by those two machines. This reboot is in progress now and will be completed once filesystem checks are complete. Thank you for your patience while we perform this emergency maintenance.
Update 12:30pm: host5 and host19 are fully online at this time.
This week, we are beginning upgrades to the network connection on our Plesk servers to facilitate faster connections and lower latency. This change requires reassignment of the IP addresses for these servers, which will take approximately 30 minutes or less to complete (per server). Once this process is done, users of this server should not notice any difference in their web hosting or email service. If you currently have an IP address specified in your email client or FTP client for connecting, please replace this with your domain name so that the IP reassignment can be completed without any further interaction on your part. Please note that most customers will require no changes at all. Thank you for your patience during this capacity upgrade.
If you do experience any type of connectivity issue, especially when checking email or making FTP connections, please verify that you do not have any IP addresses (numbers in the format 216.222.xxx.xxx) specified in your software settings. Any use of the IP address should be replaced by your domain name.
Progress Updates:
Server ps09 completed all updates as of 11:30am on 11/17
Servers ps10, ps11, and ps12 are completed as of 11:50am on 11/18
At this time, we are rebooting server host2 as it has become unresponsive; it should be back up shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Update: As of 11:50 AM, host2 is back up and all services are active. No further downtime is anticipated.
Between approximately 3am and 6am this morning, 11/15/08, our upstream provider performed scheduled network maintenance on the backbone connections that service our Plesk and Sphera hosting customers. The purpose of this maintenance, which was successful, was to install upgraded network equipment. Portions of our Plesk and Sphera hosting networks may have been unavailable for a very brief period (approximately 5 minutes) during this window, but at this time no further maintenance is required and all customer website and email services are online and functioning properly.
