Setting a Catch-All Email Address

The topic of this article is not supported by our customer support department, however for your convenience we are providing this material to assist you in troubleshooting potential issues related to this topic.

Though it is not recommended, you can set a catch all email address in the Plesk control panel. A catch all email alias will make it so, when mail is sent to an non existent email account at your domain, it will be forwarded to the account you have set as the catch all. This is not recommended as the account will fill up with massive amounts of SPAM very quickly and can cause issues with the mail server. If you would still like to set a catch all you must first log into the Plesk control panel.

  • Once logged into Plesk click Mail Accounts on the homepage
  • Click Mail Settings
  • You can set the Mail To Nonexistent User address to reject, which is disabling the catch all, or set the address you would like to forward the email to. DO NOT set this to be an off network email address. It will cause that network to block email coming from the mail server as it will forward massive amount of spam off our network.
